Tutto quello che c’è da sapere sui Grammy Awards 2022: nominations e performance in programma

Nella notte italiana tra il 3 e il 4 aprile si terranno i Grammy Awards 2022, ecco tutte le nominations e le performance in programma. Previsto anche un omaggio a Taylor Hawkins, batterista dei Foo Fighters prematuramente scomparso la scorsa settimana.

Grammy 2022: cosa c’è da sapere

Ci separano poche ore dagli attesissimi Grammy Awards 2022, che andranno di scena questa sera, nella notte italiana tra domenica 3 e lunedì 4 aprile, dalla MGM Grand Garden Arena di Las Vegas. Alla conduzione ritroveremo Trevor Noah, dopo il suo debutto come presentatore dello show dello scorso anno, in un’edizione che è stata caratterizzata dal distanziamento sociale e da esibizioni in DAD. Quest’anno però si ritorna alla normalità, nonostante la variante Omicron abbia costretto gli organizzatori a rimandare l’evento inizialmente previsto per il 31 gennaio 2022. Start time alle ore 02:00 italiane, per un’edizione che dovrebbe durare circa 3 ore.

La cerimonia sarà aperta dai Silk Sonic, super-duo composto da Bruno Mars e Anderson.Paak. Annullata invece la performance dei Foo Fighters, colpiti dalla tragica morte del batterista Taylor Hawkins. La band capitanata da Dave Grohl ha annullato tutte le date previste, compresa la comparsata prevista ai Grammy, ma resta tuttavia candidata ai premi Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album. A tal proposito durante lo show ci sarà un momento di tributo per l’amato batterista, la cui prematura scomparsa ha causato forte shock tra i fan dei Foo’s e gli appassionati di musica in generale. Altro omaggio sarà invece dedicato a Stephen Sondheim, leggenda di Broadway scomparso lo scorso novembre a 91 anni. A celebrare la sua carriera sarà un’esibizione di Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom Jr, Ben Platt e Rachel Zegler.

Altri act previsti sono quelli di: Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, NAS, H.E.R., John Batiste, Chris Stapleton, BTS, Lil Nas X, Jack Harlow, John Legend, J Balvin, Lady Gaga, Brandi Charles e Brothers Osborne. Non ci sarà invece Kanye West (Ye), la cui performance prevista è stata rimossa dallo show dopo le controversie riguardanti i post razzisti nei confronti dell’host Trevor Noah.

A guidare la classifica degli artisti in gara c’è proprio John Batise, che conta ben 11 nomination in altrettante categorie, tra cui Album of The Year (con We are). Seguono Justin Bieber, Doja Cat e H.E.R. con otto candidature, mentre a chiudere il podio ci sono Billie Eilish e Olivia Rodrigo con sette. Di seguito tutte le candidature a partire dalle Big 4:
